2010
OriginDwayne paints the first Pig Evil mark on a blank tee in a basement off Division Street, Olympia. He prints twelve more for friends who ride. None of them are sold. All of them get worn into the ground by October.
2011
OriginA proper screen, a proper count, a proper name on the neck tag. Fifty shirts go out to skate shops in Olympia, Tacoma, and Seattle on consignment. Most sell. The rest come back and get given away at a BMX jam in Capitol Lake Park.
2012
The RunNobody signs anything. A handful of skaters and BMX guys from the Thurston County scene start showing up in Pig Evil without being asked. Dwayne notices. The brand quietly decides that is the model and never really changes it.
2014
The RunFourth numbered drop is the first one designed with motocross in mind. A local privateer wears the long-sleeve at a Pacific Raceways weekend and the photo ends up in three zines. The cross-sport thing stops being an accident.
2015
The RunLookbook for the fall run is shot on 35mm in a working auto body shop in Lacey. Grain, concrete, one bare bulb. No stylist, no set. The aesthetic the brand is still held to, a decade later, is fixed by the end of that weekend.
2017
The RunPig Evil has its best business year. Every run sells through. Rent on the basement-turned-studio gets paid twelve months in advance. Dwayne still packs every order himself because the idea of a third party touching the shirts feels wrong.
2018
PauseTwo runs go out instead of four. The zine goes on hold. The Instagram stays up but stops posting. Nothing breaks, exactly. The fuel tank reads low and nobody wants to say it out loud.
2019
PauseThe storefront redirects to a black page with the mark and a date. The date never comes. Orders stop. The mailing list goes dormant. No goodbye post, no sale, no explanation. Whoever was paying attention notices the silence and mostly respects it.
2026 — Spring
ReturnDwayne starts asking what Pig Evil 2.0 looks like done right. Real shop, real numbers, the same friends who wore the first mark. The conversation does not stop. The site you are reading is what came of it.
2026 — October 31
ReturnSix items. Numbered editions. When they are gone, they are gone. Olympia, Washington. Same mark, same intent, sharper tools. This is the new starting line.
